This edition was sent out a few days later due to me wanting to try something new. I’m hoping to visit a least one event per week on the events I believe are worth while attending. So feel free to read my cover below on the Mediatech LA Red Carpet Event at the Directors Guild that was hosted by KINO & Sunset Ventures, the event was pretty awesome.

Event Review: Mediatech LA Red Carpet Event at the Directors Guild 🥂
Hey there! You made it to my event review, welcome. It’s my first one so don’t judge me harshly. The goal of these reviews is to help you recognize which event hosts put together the best events in LA. I will judge these events based on three main criteria points which are, quality of event attendees, event execution, and event atmosphere. Now without further ado, let’s get start.
The Mediatech LA Red Carpet was part of the emerging LA event series and was hosted by Brandon Hoffman (Sunset Ventures) & the founders of KINO, Austin, Daril, and Brit on Jan 31st, 2024. The event started with a small happy hour that translated into an awards ceremony with a happy hour at the end to close out the event. I have to say it was my first time at the Directors Guild but it was a beautiful location and the event atmosphere fit perfectly. Right when you walked in you were greeted by security guards who would direct you towards the event and they were also very friendly. Once you entered the event you were greeted with wine and other soft drinks of your choosing by an army of waiters walking around. And to top it all off, they also had a hotdog bar from the legendary hot dog stand, Pinks! One of LA’s classics. Unfortunately, I had to leave during the award ceremony to do a meeting but I was able to make it back in time for the happy hour. During the happy hour I was able to meet a variety of people ranging from VC’s, directors, actors, and talent agents. It was a nice mix of people from different backgrounds and everyone had an interesting story to tell. Overall I would rate this event an A rating (9/10) and I’m definitely planning on returning for their upcoming events!
PS - Make sure to follow the hosts on LinkedIn and make sure to keep up to date with Emerging LA’s events but subscribing to their newsletter!
